What is butter mochi?
A Hawaiian baked dessert made with sweet rice flour, butter and coconut milk. It has crisp, caramelized edges and a dense, bouncy chew inside. Not cake, not Japanese mochi.
Is it gluten-free? What about allergens?
Yes. We use certified gluten-free mochiko and bake in our own gluten-free, nut-free kitchen. Every flavor contains dairy, eggs and coconut, and some contain soy and sesame. Each product page lists the details.
How long does it keep?
Best within 3 days at room temperature, up to 4 days in the fridge, or up to 2 months frozen. Enjoy it cold or at room temperature (colder is chewier), or warm a piece for 10 seconds in the microwave.
How much is shipping, and when will it arrive?
$9.99 to the East, $19.99 to the West, and free on orders $50+. We bake to order, ship Monday to Wednesday, and boxes arrive 1 to 3 days after they ship. You pick your delivery date at checkout. We ship to the lower 48 states.
